Happy Monday sweet friends! I had a crazy busy weekend filled with my best girlfriends. I loved it but am ready to hit the books this week and get on top of things. [Read more…]
It’s officially getting HOT in Texas and I’m ecstatic about it! Out with the heavy dark clothing and in with light, pops of color for Spring 🙂 Although Texas typically skips Spring and goes straight to 90 degree weather (like it is right now) I still love the concept of Spring. If you read my blog this time last year and throughout summer, y’all know I’m a huge fan of color. I love pastels, and a pop of anything from hot pink to bright blue. Before I go full out on some colorful outfit, I like to start Spring off with my typical neutral colors and add in some pops of color. I’m not usually one to break out the bright yellow sundress with pink heels and turquoise clutch until we reach about June 😉 lol. [Read more…]
Hey y’all, happy Monday!
A couple things here….
- Do you see the new site!? What do yall think!? I’ve put a lot of thought into a new design for this blog and it’s amazing to see it live and all together. I have a wide variety of style but my go-to is a bright, feminine, look. I wanted my site to represent that and I loooove how it turned out.
- I took last week off from the blog…. As most of y’all know, I was in New Orleans and while I had plenty of time to write posts and have them up, I chose not to. This blog consumes so much of me and while I absolutely love the crap out of it, I’ve been drained. Between school, working a side job, and other obligations in my life while still putting in 15+ hours a week into this blog I’ve been in desperate need for a break. I took this last week to sleep, not do anything, and enjoy myself and detox from the whole world. I feel so much happier, refreshed, and ready to write again. I hope yall understand!
- Lastly, If you’re on Instagram, and haven’t downloaded the new Liketoknow.it app, you must do it now! I shared this post all about Liketoknow.it and they launched a new app where you can screenshot my photos and all the details will pop up for you in the app, making it SUPER easy to shop everything immediately. (That’s what the little icon in the bottom right corner is!)
Good morning from my room to yours on this fine Friday. I don’t know about y’all but after this crazy week, I had a hard time getting up this morning. I head home to Dallas today around 2pm for the weekend and I did NOT want to get up thinking about all the things I needed to pack. Josh and I are leaving for NOLA from Dallas on Monday so just trying to wrap my mind around everything I need gives me a headache lol. But, TGIF…. and while sometimes it’s hard to wake up, this year I’ve really lived for my mornings. [Read more…]
I’m counting down the days and seconds until this Friday! I get a full week of relaxation and I am SO pumped. A week from today, Josh and I will be in NOLA for Spring Break. We are extremely excited. I’ve been to Baton Rouge before when I was touring LSU a few years ago, but never to New Orleans…. and neither has Josh. [Read more…]
We made it to Friday! Whoohoo. Pat yourself on the back 😉 I know I’m a college student and the closest thing to ‘work wear’ I get is playing dress up and pretending I work, but a large portion of my readers are post-grad women who are looking for jobs, or already in the work world. I’ve ALWAYS loved the work wear outfit. It’s sophisticated and classy. Whenever I buy something now a days, I like it to be versatile to work for when I am post-grad and am working. The cute frilly tops are so fun but if it’s a pricier piece I make sure it’s one that will last the next 5 years of my life. [Read more…]
Seriously wishing I could go back to this brunch. Cafe J is like an every other week occasion for me TBH. I live 5 seconds away from it and whenever Josh says a date night out, I say Cafe J. Whenever my girlfriends say brunch or my momma comes to town, I say Cafe J 😉 Lubbock actually has some really awesome restaurants. I’ve talked before that Lubbock was a huge culture shock for me coming from Dallas, and being spoiled with the best of the best food in D-town, I struggled with Lubbock. If only we had some good sushi here I would be SET. But until then, I have quite a few restaurants I adore here and Cafe J is at the very top of that list. [Read more…]
Hi lovelies! After such a wonderful weekend of just being present with friends, and actually not staying in like a grandma, I’m recharged and happy to get back to my routine. I have a huge midterm this week, Josh’s birthday, and lots of little events happening so it’s about to be crazy. [Read more…]
The day has finally come to share this!!! I get emails or social media messages WEEKLY asking for my tips on how to start a blog. I’ve realized most of the girls that email me are in high school, college, or JUST graduated. I started my blog when I was 18 and it’s been a crazy ride full of learning experiences. [Read more…]
