Oh hey, Monday! What’s better than a little beauty talk!? I recently did a poll over on my twitter and snapchat and asked what y’all wanted to see more of… a huge portion asked for more beauty posts!!! This came to a surprise to me, but I’m so excited because I can literally talk makeup, hair, and skincare ALL day y’all.
This past weekend was a blast because I got to spend a ton of time with my girlfriends and get dressed up a little more than I usually do. I’m always wearing a t-shirt and no makeup now-a-days that I only work on school and this blog of mine! I got to dress up for tailgate, a couple nights out, and of course yesterday for church with my sweet boyfriend. I’ve become such a lipstick and liner fanatic that I can’t leave the house without some kinda color on my lips.
I always love the transition from light pinks and peach colored lipsticks to dark nudes and burgundy colored lipsticks for fall. I brought together FIVE of my top favorite fall lip colors that I use all the time for fall at every price point. Shade #1: Mac Lipstick in Myth (from photos above)
This shade is that pale nude that works for every season but I find myself using it a ton during this time of year. It’s definitely a white nude and can (as you can see from my own photos) wash you out. But I think this color is great to have and you can add fun lip glosses and other shades to it, it’s just a fabulous base! Shade #2: Maybelline Lipstick in Truffle Tease
Feat. my cute little kitten!! This is coco y’all 🙂 she’s so tiny, meows like a crazy lady, and needs constant attention. I love her so much! Now, as far as this lip shade…. (insert major heart eyes!) This is the perfect nude shade that adds a little dark brown to your lips. It’s also a drugstore lipstick and super affordable. Maybelline lipsticks are my absolute favorite because of their formula. Shade #3: L’oreal Lipstick in Toasted Almond
This is such a classic shade. This is your go-to reddish brown lipstick. I think this color looks beautiful on every skin tone and another great affordable lipstick! I purchase this one every season and always use it up! ^ignore the bandaid and ugly nails… on my to-do list to fix haha! Shade #4: Mac Lipstick in Taupe and Mac Liner in shade Spice
This duo is dreamy! I featured this lip liner because the two paired together are perfect and this lip liner works with EVERY shade I’m mentioning in this post. The lipstick is a deeper brownish nude and pairs great for a sultry night out look with out looking too crazy. I’ve also learned the importance of lip liners this past year and they truly do make a huge difference in the way your lipstick goes on and stays on. Shade #5: Nars Audacious Lipstick in shade Bette
Alright…. the most daring fall shade! This one is worn a ton during winter as well, for me. It’s your deep burgundy red that makes your lips pop like crazy! This is a more pricier lipstick but so worth it if you want a fun lip color that’s out of your comfort zone this season. I also want to mention that it looks a little messy here on my lips but that’s just because my lips were so read from taking and putting on all of these lip colors so fast. It doesn’t usually look that messy and a lip liner definitely helps that too!
Thanks for reading today and make sure to grab a latte and some lipstick when you can 😉 What lip colors do y’all love during fall?
^^ feel free to pin this and save for later! <3
