Sooooo…. I landed in Lubbock at 11:15 pm last night and my sweet boyfriend picked me up and took me to my house so I could see my roommates and my kittens! I was only gone for 4 days and I seriously missed my little college family so much haha. Today I have a busy day of catching up on school work. I posted about Day 1 of NYFW yesterday… if you missed it and want to read, click here.
Day 2 started around the same time as Day 1, 7:30 am. I really enjoyed spending my mornings getting ready and then heading out for coffee. My friend Emily came in from Rhode Island on Day 2 during the morning to meet me! It’s funny because I actually met Emily through our YouTube channels when I was like 16 years old and then we stayed in contact, both started blogs and now got to meet each other in person. We went to the Dan Liu show that started at 10am. From there, we grabbed brunch at Westfield in Chelsea. After that, we headed to the Rebecca Minkoff show in Soho, they had live music going and it was so fun yet CRAZY hot, since the show was outside. From there, we went to one of my favorite events, The Shopstyle Social House. Y’all… the view from the place was INSANE. A full rooftop view of the city and different things going on at each floor. Baublebar, Gigi New York, Yumi Kim, and more were at the event. It was great to mingle with other bloggers and enjoy the incredible view. I had another show and event afterwards but we were so tired and phones were dying so we went to the hotel and skipped it all! Haha. Afterwards, we shot our looks of the day and then went to dinner at a fabulous Italian place called Trettoria Trecolori. From there, I met a friend from Dallas and we got to go out for a little bit in the city. This day was crazy busy even though we did skip some events. Between the taxi rides and running around, the day definitely gets ahead of you.
I ended up wearing this adorable light pink slip dress all day. It was light and airy for the ridiculous heat so I definitely wasn’t changing. I paired a trendy choker and my favorite edgy black boots to complete my look for this day! I looked like a train wreck after sweating all day but this was my favorite look of the weekend. I can’t wait to wear this little dress out in Lubbock. Best purchase!! (and less than $50) 😉
I’ll share Day 3 with y’all on Thursday! xoxo
